“MENO ARTELĖ“ AND LITHUANIAN SOCIETY FOR THE CARE OF PEOPLE WITH IMPAIRED INTELLIGENCE “KLAIPĖDOS VILTIS”
“The Great Word Factory”
A performance for young people based on the book Agnès de Lestrade
“The Great Word Factory” is a joint theatrical-social-motivational project of the Public Institution “Meno Artelė” and the Lithuanian Association for the Care of People with Intellectual Disabilities “Klaipėdos Viltis”. This performance is a motivational project for every Lithuanian who every day seeks meaning and strength to respect his environment, his country, to love life. It often seems that our problems are the biggest, that we are the most intelligent, and those around us are not so good or protonged … your being.
“The Great Word Factory” is a play about the meaning of the word in our lives. Let’s imagine there is a country where people don’t speak. To say a word, you have to buy it and swallow it. We usually value what we pay money for most. We keep a lot of things that we paid dearly for. Think about what we have for free and often don’t appreciate it at all?
It is a contemporary art performance for children from 6 years of age. and adults, all those who value the importance of the word and its power in our lives.
We give Lithuania 100 words that strengthen people’s respect, friendship, positive thinking, encourage them to take every opportunity to be safe and good to those around them.
The director of the performance is Laura Šakurskytė-Žilinskienė
