At the end of 2014, the Community House opened its doors to Klaipėda residents as a new place for gatherings. Klaipėda City Municipality, having the former premises of A. Rubliovas School repaired, handed them over for the needs of the city. The activities of the Community House are organised and supervised by the ŽVEJŲ RŪMAI culture centre.

Various non-governmental organisations have settled in the Community House, and amateur art groups are preparing for their performances there. Concerts, celebrations, get-togethers and other cultural events of various kinds take place in the premises, lectures are given, thematic exhibitions are displayed, and dance evenings with live music take place once a month. One of the most important advantages of the events organised there is that the majority of the events are free of charge. The Community House is open to the initiative and self-expression of all citizens of all age groups based on their needs and hobbies.

Following the designation of the year 2015 as the Year of Seniors by Klaipėda City Municipality, a particularly great number of events for senior people and people with disabilities took place there.

In 2016, a new programme named “Sveika siela ir kūnas” (“Healthy Soul and Body”) gained great popularity, inviting Klaipėda residents to take an interest in and to promote healthy lifestyle attitudes in the family and community.

Since 2016, the Community House also invites children to take part in creative activities in summer. The creative and educational programme that the ŽVEJŲ RŪMAI Culture Centre organises in June is implemented in cooperation with various agencies of the city. Practical classes are conducted by the leaders of the artistic groups of ŽVEJŲ RŪMAI.

Since 2017, in cooperation with the Lithuanian Union of Pensioners, educational lectures are given by the Klaipėda University of Ethics and Klaipėda School of Healthy Lifestyle.

In 2018, after declaring Klaipėda a European City of Sport, a new cycle of free events named “Sportas vienija mus” (“Sport Unites us”) was launched, inviting to participate in sports and health events held not only in the Community House but also in other places of the city. The cycle included checkers and chess tournaments, outdoor sports and games, hiking and biking, water aerobics, shooting-range practise and a variety of other activities.

In 2019, the Community House underwent major repairs. The assembly hall and the ground floor rehearsal hall were equipped with modern ventilation systems, enabling the air temperature adjustment as required. The premises were equipped with additional sanitary facilities for the disabled. The disabled people visiting and operating in the Community House now have easy access to the concert hall and any other premises on all of the three floors of the building (an elevator has been installed).

In 2020, one more new programme for community strengthening was launched. The aim of the programme, named “Vienas kiemas” (“One Yard”), is to attract and engage an even larger audience by organising events in open spaces. The Užgavėnių šiupinio šventė (Mardi Gras Hotchpotch Feast) has already taken place, and the planned events include the Tarptautinė kaimynų diena (International Neighbours’ Day)Rudens melodijų ir žibintų šventė (Festival of Autumn Melodies and Lanterns), and Kalėdų kiemelis (Christmas Yard).
