The first international vocal competition “Singing! Klaipėda” will be held on May 9 at the Klaipėda Žvejų rūmai, bringing together singers from Lithuania and abroad. The competition, which was born after a long period of preparation, planning and development of the idea, aims to become an important platform for young vocalists – a place where talent is revealed, stage experience is strengthened and international creative connections are made.
Soloists, duets and groups aged 6–28 will participate in the competition. The performances will be judged by an international jury consisting of music professionals from Ireland, England, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The winners of the competition will be awarded the “Grand Prix” in different age categories, diplomas and awards for the laureates of 1st–5th places, and a special prize from the Mayor of Klaipėda. Special awards are also provided, including for an original song.
The competition aims to become a space where young performers can gain stage experience, be noticed and take their first steps on the international music scene. The aim of the competition is to promote the creative growth of young performers, create opportunities for them to perform on the professional stage and strengthen international cultural cooperation.
The organizers of “Singing! Klaipėda” hope that the competition will become a long-term tradition, strengthening the community of young performers and contributing to international cultural dialogue.
The 1st International Vocal Competition “Singing! Klaipėda” will be held on May 9 at 11 a.m. at the Klaipėda Žvejų rūmai (Taikos pr. 70), in the Great and Theater Halls.
