A theatrical one-woman show that follows Layla, an aspiring blues musician in her early 30s, as she navigates the complexities of life, love, and music in a small town. Struggling with the pressures of an ordinary job and past heartbreak, Layla finds solace and meaning in the blues.
The show is a heartfelt exploration of self-discovery, healing, and the transformative power of “coming home”.

Mira Yarkova is an aspiring independent theater artist with 10+ years of international theater (acting, directing, and scriptwriting) experience, and a degree from the exemplary theater art group “Smile”. Her most recent works include 2 directed promenade theater – style plays – “Almost Maine” 2023 and “Love/Sick” 2024 by John Cariani at LCC International University.
Mira Yarkova is a laureate of several creative reading theater competitions, she drives on her love for authenticity and empathy aiming to bring relatable life experiences on stage. Her latest one-woman show “Prescription Blues” explores the depth of the human soul when faced with intense emotional circumstances and the meaning of “coming home” in a metaphorical sense of the word.
