“Quintetto della Morte” (“Death Quintet“) is a street theatre performance that aims to explore the relationship between life and death. Inspired by the 19th century Post Mortem photography genre, this performance invites viewers to reflect on their own mortality.
In a dynamic performance, the actors engage the audience through comedy, movement, sound, and theatrical expression, emphasizing the idea that death is not the end of the journey, but a continuation. By engaging the street and the audience and provoking them, the performers also want to pose a psychological task to the audience – are we alive or dead?
“Quintetto della Morte” invites viewers to realize that in real life, intriguing dimensions await us, deeper than the boundaries of our earthly existence. This project aims to promote a dialogue about mortality while we are alive and inseparable from the exit to the beyond.
